With the amendments to the Condominium Act, 1998, there are new authorities overseeing the condominium industry in Ontario. The Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) is responsible for overseeing the licensing and regulation of condominium managers. The Condominium Authority of Ontario (CAO) is responsible for overseeing condominiums. The CAO offers a new online dispute resolution forum, the Condominium Authority Tribunal (CAT), which is to provide owners and condominium corporations with fast, fair, and cost-effective online dispute resolution. Our presenters will explain the roles, rules, processes and policies of the new authorities.
